Services

What we build, and what it involves.

Six services, described in enough detail that you can tell before contacting us whether we're the right studio for the job.

Service — Mobile

Mobile app development

Consumer and business applications for iOS and Android. We build cross-platform with React Native or Flutter where a shared codebase makes sense, and natively in Swift or Kotlin where the app leans hard on device hardware, background processing, or platform-specific behaviour. We advise on which of the two your project actually needs during scoping rather than defaulting to whichever is faster for us.

The work covers the full path to release: architecture, offline handling, push notifications, in-app purchases and subscriptions, analytics, store listings, and the back-and-forth with Apple and Google review teams when a submission gets held.

  • Swift
  • Kotlin
  • React Native
  • Flutter
  • App Store
  • Google Play
Service — Web

Web application development

Software that runs in a browser and does real work: customer portals, admin dashboards, booking and scheduling systems, inventory tools, reporting interfaces. These usually replace a spreadsheet and three email threads, so we spend the scoping stage on how the work is actually done today before designing what replaces it.

Every build is responsive down to a phone, keyboard navigable, and tested against current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

  • React
  • Next.js
  • Vue
  • Node.js
  • Laravel
  • Responsive
Service — Backend

APIs, backends, and integrations

The layer your app or website talks to. We design database schemas, build REST and GraphQL APIs, handle authentication and permissions, and connect systems that were never designed to work together — payment gateways, CRMs, shipping carriers, accounting platforms, and legacy internal software with no documentation left.

Deployment goes to AWS, Google Cloud, or a managed platform depending on what you already run and what you can maintain after handover. We don't introduce infrastructure you'll need us to operate forever.

  • REST
  • GraphQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • AWS
  • Stripe
Service — Design

Product and interface design

Before development starts, we produce the screens. That means user flows, wireframes for every state including the empty and error ones, and a full visual design you can click through. You approve the product as a picture before it becomes an invoice.

If you already have designs or a brand system, we work inside it. If you don't, we build a small one — type, colour, spacing, components — that stays consistent as the product grows.

  • User flows
  • Wireframes
  • Figma
  • Design systems
  • Prototypes
Service — Quality

Testing and quality assurance

Functional testing across real devices and browsers, not just simulators. Automated test coverage on the parts of the system where a silent failure would be expensive — payments, authentication, data writes — and manual testing on everything a person touches.

You get the test results, the known-issues list, and an honest read on what is fixed versus what is deferred, before launch rather than after.

  • Device testing
  • Cross-browser
  • Automated tests
  • Accessibility
  • Load testing
Service — Support

Maintenance and ongoing support

Software decays if nobody touches it. Operating systems update, dependencies get security patches, payment providers change their APIs, and stores tighten their requirements. Our monthly retainers cover that work, plus uptime monitoring, bug fixes, and a defined block of hours for small feature changes.

Retainers are month to month. There is no minimum term and no penalty for stopping when you no longer need us.

  • Monitoring
  • Security patches
  • OS compatibility
  • Bug fixes
  • Feature work
Pricing

Quoted per project, not per hour.

We quote a fixed price against a written scope. You know the number before work starts, and it doesn't move unless you ask for something outside the document — in which case we price that change separately and you decide whether it's worth it.

Project cost depends on the number of screens, the complexity of the logic behind them, how many external systems are involved, and whether design already exists. Retainers are priced monthly against an agreed block of hours.

We can usually give a realistic range on a first call, and a firm quote within a few days of a scoping conversation.
