Why we work this way
Most failed software projects were never properly scoped.
The pattern is familiar to anyone who has commissioned a build before. Work starts on a verbal understanding. Three weeks in, the client sees something that doesn't match what they pictured. The scope quietly widens, the estimate stops meaning anything, and the relationship turns into a negotiation about what was and wasn't agreed.
We front-load the part everyone wants to skip. Before we quote, we write down what the software does, what it explicitly does not do, what you supply, and what we deliver. It's rarely a fun document to produce. It is, reliably, the difference between a project that ships and one that stalls.
The rest follows from it: a fixed price you can budget against, a delivery date we're accountable to, and a clean way to handle changes when they come up — because they always do.
